Your demand matters

As I observed the values in my own industry fade away within the recent past years, I realized the bittersweet truth, of this force too powerful, that has continued to take down true value generated systems, one by one, industry by industry.

I had a humble conversation with my own coach at his gym, I expressed him how individuals are moving away, finding gymnasiums that offer air conditioning, televisions, state of art infrastructure, and many more amenities, ironically, none of which helps to build a physique. We had a good laugh, but I couldn't accept the grim reality of the situation that has prevailed for quite some time. We saw the parasite, we did not expect it to surpass barricades and reach our own hometowns.

The evil force is none other than your demand, my friends. Your irrational, baseless demand. I see tens of hundreds of people visit modern gymnasiums, a significant fraction following illogical workouts (hoarding musculoskeletal problems that would knock their door within a few years), and they forgot, that just like, learning a sport, or maybe a subject, that they need a teacher to guide them.

A gym is not a facility which can be freely utilized based on your wishful thinking. You are using equipment, weights, apparatus, that has been designed to elicit different outcomes. You cannot watch a child’s tiktok video and baselessly train for the next few years ! There are more variations of modern gyms that have been designed to manipulate your deep vulnerable thought patterns, to lure you to enter, keeping the element of “fitness” as the superficial “service.

There are gyms in youth centers, with broken benches and floors, where individuals train at the daytime with no fans (I used to train at these times too during periods of my training streak). I urge you to understand the reason why you showed up at the gym. It is to build a healthy body. And to do that, you need a good teacher.

Remind yourself what you want, find yourself. I think a lot of you are completely lost in this overstimulated world with easily accessible things. When you turn everything into a business, businessmen will try to find a way to give you something for a “good deal”.

And you tend to view things which gives the best “deal”. As the non essential layers compile, you forget the real reason you showed up.

You forgot that you didn’t need expensive attire or (even shoes) to train properly. You didn’t need the expensive shaker or the entire stack of “formula” driven supplements. You don’t need the airconditioning. Or the television, or state of the art bathrooms. You came to train. To build. To learn. So do that, without being another individual who made this world a less valuable space.
